গত ২০ জানুয়ারী ক্যাম্প-১৬ অগ্নিকাণ্ডে সর্বস্ব হারানো পরিবারগুলোর পাশে দাঁড়ানোর অংশ হিসেবে Education Development and Services (EDAS) গত ২৩ জানুয়ারী অগ্নিদুর্গতদের মাঝে শীতবস্ত্র ও রান্না করা গরম খাবার (Hot Meal) বিতরণ করেছে। শীতের এই কঠিন সময়ে একবেলা গরম খাবার ও শীতবস্ত্র তাদের জন্য ছিল কিছুটা স্বস্তি, কিছুটা মানবিক সহানুভূতির স্পর্শ।

একটি শিশুর হাসি, একজন মায়ের কৃতজ্ঞ দৃষ্টি—এই অনুভূতিগুলোই আমাদের এগিয়ে চলার অনুপ্রেরণা। EDAS সবসময় বিশ্বাস করে, দুর্যোগের মুহূর্তে পাশে দাঁড়ানোই প্রকৃত মানবতা।

উল্লেখ্য, গত ২০ জানুয়ারি ভোর রাতে ক্যাম্প–১৬ এ ভয়াবহ অগ্নিকাণ্ড সংঘটিত হয়, যাতে বহু পরিবার তাদের ঘরবাড়ি ও নিত্যপ্রয়োজনীয় জিনিসপত্র হারিয়ে চরম সংকটে পড়ে।

As part of standing beside the families who lost everything in the fire incident at Camp-16 on January 20, Education Development and Services (EDAS) distributed winter clothing and cooked hot meals among the fire-affected families on January 23. During this harsh winter, a warm meal and winter clothes brought not only physical comfort but also a touch of human compassion to those in distress.

A child’s smile and a mother’s grateful eyes continue to inspire us to move forward. EDAS firmly believes that true humanity is reflected in standing beside people during moments of crisis.

It is worth mentioning that a devastating fire broke out at Camp-16 in the early hours of January 20, leaving many families homeless and causing severe losses of shelters and essential household belongings.
