EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT AND SERVICES (EDAS)

Education Development and Services (EDAS), established in 2003, is a non-profit, non-sectarian, and non-political organization committed to social justice and human development. Since its inception, EDAS has focused on promoting the well-being of youth and children, particularly those from underprivileged and marginalized backgrounds. The organization’s mission is to ensure equitable access to quality education, basic healthcare, sustainable livelihood opportunities, and essential infrastructure services for all—regardless of socioeconomic status, geographic location, or cultural identity.

Over the years, EDAS has played a significant role in advancing the socio-economic development of vulnerable communities across Bangladesh. By aligning its efforts with the broader national development goals, the organization has become actively engaged in diverse sectors. These include formal and non-formal education, vocational training, primary healthcare, water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), environmental sustainability, women’s empowerment, and advocacy against women and child trafficking. EDAS also implements programs addressing critical public health issues, such as HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness. Through these integrated and community-centered approaches, EDAS continues to empower individuals and strengthen communities toward achieving a more just, inclusive, and resilient society.
