About Us

Since 2003, EDAS has been engaged in the development fields of Bangladesh with various components on Education, awareness and campaign; Technical, vocational and skill training; Women, children and community safe guard facilitation, development and empowerment; Health, water and hygiene; Food and nutrition; Environment, habitat and rehabilitation, Humanitarian support and relief program.

EDAS is a development and humanitarian NGO with 1209 regular staff in operational head office, project & liaison office and 6 regional offices serving the needs of approximately 10 million disadvantaged and distress community people in 78 unions, 10 municipalities, 18 Upazilas of 7 districts of Bangladesh and planning to cover more areas over time with need based development and humanitarian activities.

Focused on Education Development and Services for comprehensive and sustainable development, EDAS shall base its work on every woman and man’s right to education, equal opportunities and freedom, security and a sustainable environment evolving over time to facilitate lasting change by challenging the forces in society that produce and reinforce human deprivation, insecurity, inequality and marginalization.
